How Long Can Dental Fillings Last?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dental fillings that receive excellent care can last for fifteen years or more, and the best ways to keep your fillings in great shape are to practice excellent daily oral hygiene, limit your intake of sugar, acids, and alcohol, and visit your dentist every six months for routine exams and cleanings. While amalgam fillings may last slightly longer than metal-free tooth-colored fillings, the difference is often negligible.
